Quick guide

Start with what you know.

Job Eagle works through a conversation in ChatGPT. Its public listing is coming soon. You can try the preview workflow using the package below, then follow the job-search steps in this guide.

Try Job Eagle before launch

This preview runs in your own ChatGPT account. Downloading the ZIP alone does not install a plugin. ChatGPT can help you use the included workflow; saving a personal skill or installing a private plugin depends on the features available to your account.

  1. Download the ZIP. Save Job-Eagle-ChatGPT-2.3.0.zip to your computer. Keep it zipped for the first attempt.
  2. Open ChatGPT and start a new Work chat. Sign in to your own account. Use a new conversation for your search.
  3. Select Plugin Creator if available. Find it in Plugins and install it if needed. If you cannot find it, you can still ask ChatGPT to read and follow the workflow in the attached package.
  4. Attach the Job Eagle ZIP. Use the attachment button in the message box. Attach the Job Eagle package, not this website's deployment ZIP.
  5. Paste the setup message below. ChatGPT should inspect the package, explain the setup available on your account, and begin the guided workflow. It must not claim the plugin is installed unless installation succeeds.
  6. Share your starting point. Upload a resume or describe your experience, skills, and interests. Choose internships, part-time, full-time, seasonal work, or a mix, and give your target locations.
  7. Keep going in the same chat. Review matches, choose which jobs to pursue, and request tailored drafts or application links. Save your resume and tracker when prompted; keep a downloaded copy as well.
Copy and paste into your new Work chat

Use the attached Job Eagle ZIP to start a new job search for me. Read the included skills/job-eagle/SKILL.md and its supporting guide. Help me set up a personal skill or private plugin if my account supports it; otherwise follow the workflow in this chat and explain the limitation. Ask one short targeted question at a time. Start with my experience and improve my resume before detailed job preferences. Use only my own information. Automated email sending is in beta testing and not available yet.

If the ZIP cannot be opened

Extract the ZIP on your computer. Open the job-eagle folder, then skills → job-eagle. Attach SKILL.md and the nine Markdown files in references to a new Work chat, and ask ChatGPT to follow them. This uses the workflow in that chat; it does not create an installed plugin. For the standard resume layout, also upload assets/resume-template.docx from the same skill folder.

If you want to test the installed package

OpenAI's documented pre-publication route uses a local marketplace in the ChatGPT desktop app. Ask Plugin Creator to guide you through that setup using the ZIP, or follow the official testing instructions. The browser's public directory listing will become available after review and publication.

Your first test

Try “I don't have a resume. Help me find part-time work.” Job Eagle should ask about your experience and preferences, help prepare a resume, research opportunities, and let you choose which to pursue.

Your account, your search. The package contains reusable instructions and branding. It does not grant access to the creator's conversations or job-search files. If you use your own account's saved memories or files, they can inform your search according to your ChatGPT settings.

Automated email sending is in beta testing and not available yet. Review drafts, attach your resume, and send emails yourself.

Use Job Eagle step by step

A useful first message“Help me start a job search. I have a resume, but I want to improve it and find jobs that fit my skills.”
  1. Introduce yourself. Upload your resume in ChatGPT, or describe your education, experience, projects, and skills. You can start without a resume.
  2. Choose your search. Share the roles and employment types you want, target cities or countries, preferred dates, hours, and pay. For cross-border searches, discuss relocation, languages, and any work authorization or sponsorship needs.
  3. Review the matches. Check the company, role, location, and application route. Pick the opportunities you want to pursue.
  4. Prepare your application. Review tailored drafts and resume changes. Verify that every statement is accurate. Send outreach yourself and attach your resume, or use the employer's official portal.
  5. Update your tracker. Mark what you submitted and record replies. Keep the latest tracker and continue the same ChatGPT conversation when possible.

“Find more jobs using my saved preferences and tracker.”

ChatGPT conversation and file features handle saved progress. Keep a copy of your latest tracker; Job Eagle has no separate user database or independent background search.

Automated email sending is in beta testing and not available yet.

Make the search personal

For more personalized results, consider allowing your AI to use relevant saved memory or previous job-related context where your account supports it. Your projects, experience and interests can help Job Eagle identify useful skills. Memory is optional; upload your resume and latest progress file or start fresh instead. Check remembered facts before using them in applications.

Installing Job Eagle does not automatically give its publisher or other users access to your AI history. AI-provider policies and account, organization and explicit-sharing settings still apply. Learn about context and privacy →

A short recap each time

At the start of a continued search and after each batch, Job Eagle shows confirmed emails sent, inquiries submitted, applications completed, employers with human replies, follow-ups due, and the next action. Drafts and automated acknowledgments do not count as completed applications or human replies. Missing records are marked unknown.

If saving fails

Job Eagle should provide working downloads of your current resume, tracker and progress record. Download them and bring the progress file back when you continue. If file generation is unavailable, it provides copyable text. Memory does not guarantee that generated files are permanently saved.

Your resume, in two useful formats

Job Eagle uses a clean, single-column format with a centered name, navy section headings and compact bullets. Sections adapt to your background and target role.

Both files contain the same reviewed content. File generation depends on your AI account capabilities. If a format or factual detail is missing, Job Eagle explains what remains.

A direction that adapts to you

Job Eagle recommends where to focus from your experience, goals and current opportunities. It starts by exploring suitable smaller companies while keeping strong larger-employer matches. Prefer large companies or posted jobs only? Say so. Your feedback and repeated choices help future shortlists adapt, and you choose what to pursue.

First, what you can offer

Start with your resume or a few details about your experience. Job Eagle asks short, specific follow-ups and helps turn your work, projects and responsibilities into stronger resume content. Most questions need only a few words; it asks for clarification when needed. Then it learns your job preferences and recommends where to focus.

The process adapts to you. Already have a strong resume, a specific application or an urgent deadline? Start there. Tell Job Eagle when a suggestion misses the mark or a draft feels too formal; the next step should change with your feedback.

Accurate facts and useful matches

Job Eagle should preserve your exact experience in resumes, applications and interview answers. It asks for missing start dates and flags unknown pay, hours, training or commute details. Keep your latest progress file and tracker; current dates, preferences and skill levels stay together in the checkpoint. Both file links should arrive together, and a generated download is only described as saved after a supported save is confirmed. A live listing with unknown requirements remains a conditional lead.
